I have a sole proprietor practice with about 10 clients. They include law firms, retail store, auto repair, property rentals, a non profit and a private school. They are all on either Quickbooks Desktop or Quickbooks Online, so Quickbooks knowledge is a MUST. I want a seamless transition from myself to a new provider and I will be glad to stay on as a consultant for a period of time. It is highly probable you could increase revenue the first year since I have not had a price increase in a number of years. This is a sale of receivables only as there are no assets involved other than receivables. I continue to get clients interested in my services and have goodwill in the community so I would continue to pass those on. About half of my clients require payroll services that either you would take over or turn over at the client's approval to a payroll provider. Most of the accounting work involved can be done from your home-based office. I would also consider a merger if you are interested or I would consider financing.
